Who Is J. Ross?
J. Ross is, first and foremost, a reader. She began reading at age 4, which prompted her Air Force parents to begin homeschooling her.
One day she had a dream so vivid that she wanted to write it down into a completed story. While the finished product was anything but “completed,” her dad taught her how to use a word processor and the journey began.
J. Ross wrote nearly a hundred partially and fully completed novels before she graduated from high school, many of which will never see the light of day if she has anything to say about it.
Her first audience was her siblings, specifically her youngest brother who happily played video games while listening to her read aloud (and patiently enduring her exclamations of frustration at her errors). Then she branched out to friends who eventually gave her the confidence to share her work with the world.
She learned a lot of lessons when she attempted to self-publish one of her works, only to discover that there were many things that she didn’t know about putting out a professional novel. She thinks she knows better now.
Awakening is, in her opinion, her best work to date, and she’s excited to share this world with you all.
When she’s not writing, J. Ross has been in education for ten years and currently serves as a Reading Interventionist for students in grades 2-5.
